Christmas 2009!...I'm way late!

I dont know how I have become so far behind in my blogging! Yikes! Time to catch up!

Christmas time definitely kept our family busy! This was the year for us to head down to the valley over Christmas break! We had Christmas Eve and Christmas morning here at home, and then got in the car and drove to McAllen on Christmas day! It was lots of fun spending time with everyone! Chris and I got to meet our first nephew, Hayden Lewis! He is precious! Everett just loved him and wanted to give him lots of kisses! We are grateful for the new memories we made over the holidays!.....Here are some of our favorite pictures!

Everett with PawPaw and Grandma at our house on Christmas Eve....
little did we know they would be stuck on the highway for hours that night due to the snow and ice storms we had on Christmas Eve! Chris had to go and rescue them and take them safely to Weatherford...he didnt get back home until 4am!!

Here I am with my brothers wife, Ashley! She is holding little Hayden! He was born December 14th, so he was less than 2 weeks old here! He is such a good baby....and so stinkin' cute!

This picture is a little blurry....but it is of Everett sleeping in his new teepee from Mama D and Papa D! He loved it! He slept and napped in it every day and night while we were down there! Lots of fun! So cute!

Everett LOVES his first and only cousin (so far)...Hayden! He loved to hold his hand and give him kisses! He was really good with him, too! I see lots and lots of fun with these two in the future....I wonder how much trouble they will get in together??? :)

Mom and Dad with their two grandbabies! I dont think they could be any happier or more proud! They love those boys so much!

While we were in the valley, Chris bought Everett his very first BICYCLE w/ training wheels! He loves loves loves it! The story goes that he rode it around the whole store while he was hanging out with the guys at Academy! So, Chris just had to get it for him! We were all very impressed at how well he rode it at only 2 years old! Look at that face...do you think he could be any happier?? Big boy!

Everett posing for Mommy under the Christmas tree at our home. We have been very lucky with him and the decorations! He doesn't bother them at all! He just loves looking at them...and his favorite is the Department 56 Snow Village! As soon as we get home from school everyday he runs to the drawer where we keep the remotes to turn all the lights on...and he gets them out and turns them on! He loves it! It's fun and makes it a very magical time for us!

I had to include this one....this was one of our favorite outfits! He loved his vest and had to have the baseball cap! Mommy's little stud muffin!

Christmas Eve...getting ready to head out to our Christmas Eve service at church! Do you like my hat?

Daddy and Everett on Christmas Eve...about to read Twas the Night Before Christmas...our tradition every year! Daddy reads it while Mommy and Everett sit and listen!

Santa brought Everett lots of neat stuff!....Here is the easel that was in the house....Santa left a note with a string attached that lead out to the pirate ship swing set! Unfortunately, with the snow and ice storm on Christmas Eve....we couldnt really go out and play on it...so we will have pictures of the ship soon!

We hope your holiday season was filled with love, family, friends, and that new memories were made that you will cherish for years to come!!
