October 2010: The Pirate Theme Continues!

October was so busy - BUT SO MUCH FUN!  This is one of our favorite months of the year.  Actually...maybe its the beginning of our favorite time of the year!  The weather starts to turn bearable after the HOT TEXAS heat - and the fun holiday times get rollin'!  Check out what we were up to this month.....

ASHLEA GETS MARRIED!
One of my good friends and co-workers got married!  They actually had a destination wedding in Mexico.  These are a few pictures from her reception here in Fort Worth!  It was fun!  Shelby Sue came with me and we had fun getting to enjoy a girls night together!

Me with Ashlea, the BRIDE!
 It was a beautiful party!
Kaylee and Shelby having fun!

My coworkers at the party: (L to R) Leah, Whitney, Me, Shelby, Amber
FALL FESTIVAL!
Chris' parents had a neighborhood fall festival at their home one weekend.  It was a lot of fun - and Everett had a great time!  Lots of kids to play with...yummy food...and fun games, too!  What more could he ask for!

Little E swinging on the tree swing at
Pawpa and Grandma's house!
Everett and Mommy on the hay ride!  This was Everett's
first EVER hay ride!  He loved it!  Especially since
Pawpa was driving!
Daddy helping Everett swing!

How cute is this????? Love him to pieces!

Had to get one of my hubby and me!
Me and my brother-in-law, Aaron!
Gotta love bubbles!

THE PUMPKIN PATCH...
The Midlothian pumpkin patch is right on the way home from school - sooo we see it EVERY SINGLE DAY! Sure enough....Everett has been asking to go pick out his pumpkin EVERY SINGLE DAY!  Ha!  Sweet boy!  He has grown to love this time of year as much as Chris and I have!  It's so much fun and so many family things to do!  Here are a few pictures from our visit to the pumpkin patch!

Let's Go TCU!
Chris and I got to visit our Alma Mater for a football game this year!  What a season to get to go back for a game, too!  We were so proud of our Rose Bowl win!  Way to go Frogs!  It had been quite a while since we had been to a game!  Almost felt like we were in college again! :)

Is this not HILARIOUS! ?
A group started this little tradition and were throwing these big 'ole undies out by the basketful!
We would sling them around for different events like first downs and touchdowns!
We had so much fun!

 What's Halloween without Jack-O-Lanterns!!!

Chris and Everett always have some nice "male bonding" time when it comes to making our jackolanterns!  What better way to bond with each other than being able to be destructive!  Everett got a pirate ship design on his pumpkin this year....the pirate theme continues!  Chris and I both opted for the traditional jackolanterns!

Here they are glowing on Halloween night!  Everett's looked really neat!  Chris' is the one on the left and mine is on the right!  Go figure...I had to make a goofy one!

HALLOWEEN.....BOO!
Chris' parents usually come over on Halloween.  It's become a little tradition!  It was a good night!  We walked the whole neighborhood which is about a mile round trip!  He was a trooper and had a good time!  This was the first year that he did some REAL trick-or-treating.  In the past, we have wheeled him around in his wagon and he has just gotten out to go up to the doors!  Not this time!  He was gung-ho about the whole thing and loved every second!

Our little pirate!  Ahoy Matey!!

We met up with Mary and her mom, Heather.  Everett and Mary trick-or-treated the whole night together!  They were quite the little pair!  It's fun to have kids Everett's age in the neighborhood!

Checking out his loot!

Whew....what a month!  It was fun!
